Unemployment line today is a bit disheartening for all the years that I have been lucky enough to be in business for myself I have met lots of wonderful people along the way. I count my great fortunes and that includes the many people who have worked for me through the years. There are so many small business owners who have taken pay cuts and shaved employee hours enough to actually save jobs.
I heard a business owner say at the end of everyday 90% of all of his assets walk out the door. He said it is his job to be certain they come back tomorrow and the day after that. What a true statement, without your employees you have no business.
In these tough economic times we must try to prevent the bad from over shadowing the good. I know lots of small business owners who have been making personal sacrifices for their employees and they will continue to do so. Employees appreciate it and I think these business owners should be recognized. It is this “brand” of small business owner that keeps our economy chugging along by simply keeping people from the unemployment line. These small business owners are saving families and even if it doesn’t always provide the lifestyle they would like their souls are surely filled with pride.
Should you find your small business in need of some social media exposure we might be able to help.
